Children who do not eat breakfast at home or at school struggle to be able to learn, focus, retain information and remain attentive. The BREAKFAST CART program is now part of our SAFE, WELCOMING and CARING culture at STA! Our school community wanted to put words into actions by being present at the front door, in the foyer, first thing in the morning to greet our students and ensure they have access to food in the morning. This ensures they start their day off in a positive manner and with a fuller belly. We have been able to provide nutritional food items daily proviing a variety of dairy, fruit, grain and protein products for whoever wishes to partake in breakfast. This was made possible during the 2022-2023 school year using financial contributions granted by the Education Foundation. We were also able to provide many students with a hot breakfast sandwich, supplied to us by St. Joseph High School Cafeteria once a month.
